Belgium national team has officially announced the dismissal of Domenico Tedesco from his position as head coach, less than 2 years after taking over.

The Italian-German coach has been under pressure following a string of disappointing results, with his side winning just two of their last 10 games.

Tedesco’s last game was a 0-1 loss to Israel in the Nations League in November, which resulted in the Red Devils หากคุณสนใจเล่นพนันออนไลน์ที่ดีที่สุด สามารถสมัครสมาชิก UFABET ได้ที่นี่ พร้อมรับโปรโมชั่นพิเศษสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ finishing third in their group.

In an official statement, the Belgian Football Association said the team had “not met our expectations” in the Nations League and Euro 2024, where they lost to France in the round of 16.

Tedesco was appointed in February 2023, taking over from Roberto Martinez after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 39-year-old’s tenure in charge started brightly with a 13-game unbeaten run, but Euro 2024 results have been disappointing.

Early in his career, he fell out with Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. With the 32-year-old later saying he would no longer play for Belgium if Tedesco was in charge.

Belgian media have been speculating in recent days about possible successors. Including the return of Thierry Henry, who served as Martinez’s assistant for a time.
